On Thursday 16 November 2023, representatives of Anderson Development Group, alongside its partners at L&Q, were invited by the Woodland Academy Trust to celebrate the opening of the new Lime Wood Primary School.

The school has already welcomed two reception cohorts and is set to grow alongside The Quarry’s community to its full capacity as a three-from entry school. The circular arrangement and overall scale of the building gives it a real sense of presence, with classrooms elevated above terraced communal spaces and a large multi-use sports pitch and games area.

Robert Rodney, the Anderson Design & Build Ltd Project Manager who oversaw the delivery of the school, said:

“We are immensely proud of Lime Wood Primary School and the unique learning environment we have created for future generations growing up in Erith. From our first meetings with the Leader of The London Borough of Bexley, through to Design and then the Build, the focus has been on quality and creating a public building that inspires young people to achieve their very best and provides the staff with great spaces in which to teach. For the whole team involved in this project, it was an incredibly rewarding moment to see the first cohort of pupils walk through the gates. We could not be happier and we wish the Woodland Academy team and pupils the best of luck!”
